This 2-day beginner's workshop will introduce students to the basics of tambour lace making.

About the workshop
The techniques covered in the two day class include: proper positioning of the bobbinet in the hoop, explanation and demo of the basic tambour chain stitch, starting and stopping stitch basics, following a pattern charted on hexagonal graph paper, experimenting with different weights and types of thread, and creating a personal design on hexagonal graph paper. The project will result in a series of lace bands appropriate for trimming a Regency era dress or bonnet. Tuition is $200.00 per student and includes all necessary tools and supplies for the class. This course is limited to 10 students.
